Sometimes, the companionship of your characters, an external or self-imposed deadline, or your passion for the project is not enough encouragement to keep writing when the shiny newness of a project starts to dull.

Experiment #6: Don’t go alone

Find another writer, or a group, and meet up in person or online. Talk about your stories. Read a writing craft book together and discuss it. Host a coworking session. Hold each other accountable. Encourage each other to keep writing.
